GRAVEL ROUTE HIGHLIGHTS

This advanced point-to-point gravel ride has it all. Starting from majestic Lake Buffalo, pedal along smooth Rose River Road to the heart of the King Valley wine region. Over 52km experience 644 metres of climbing, fun descents, mountain vistas, rivers, bushland and vineyards. Refresh with a glass of Prosecco in Whitfield at one of the famous Prosecco Road wineries. Stay overnight and return the next day by the same route or pre-organise a pick-up.

Advance your gravel riding skills on the champagne gravel roads and serene bushland of the intermediate Beechworth-Chiltern National Park Loop. This 41.2km route is a perfect taster of Beechworth's renowned gravel scene. Take on the challenge of 732m of elevation across a mix of peaceful farm roads, bush tracks, rural paths and rail trails. Along the way, pause at Barking Owl Distilling Co. to enjoy tastings of locally crafted gin, vodka, liqueurs and brandy.

Soak in spectacular views on the 59.2km Lake Road Loop. Skirting the tranquil shores of Lake Hume before climbing to Jarvis Plateau, this mixed-surface ride is a test of endurance. Climb 800 metres of elevation for breathtaking views as you pedal sealed roads, rail trail and remote technical gravel. Recommended for advanced riders, you will need to be self-sufficient with good fitness. Refuel after your ride at one of Tallangatta's charming country pubs or cafes.

Racecourse Roll is a fantastic entry into gravel riding, suitable for the whole family. Starting and finishing in relaxed Yea, the 9.2km beginner loop takes you out towards Tallarook on the Great Victorian Rail Trail and back to town on smooth gravel roads. soak in the fresh country air as you enjoy scenic views of rolling farmland. On return explore the sights and sounds of Yea including the historic Yea Railway Station, Wetlands Discovery Centre, shops, cafes and restaurants.
