The team behind the incredibly successful High Country Women’s Cycling Festival (HCWCF), Clare Holdsworth and Michelle Armstrong, have come up with another great reason to grab the girls, the bikes and hit up the High Country.
Designed by women for women, the 3 Peaks Women’s Cycling Weekend, held 22nd – 25th November 2019 in Bright, promises a supportive and fun long-weekend of cycling in the Victorian High Country, with a carefully curated itinerary for a small group. At a cost of $1,100 p/p it includes accommodation; local food, prosecco and gin; expert tuition from accredited cycling coach Lead Out Cycling
Michelle Armstrong explained that the 3 Peaks Weekend is an extension of the HCWCF, and put together because women said they wanted to climb more peaks, but needed support.
“Together we will ride 3 of the most beautiful, scenic and challenging climbs of the region (Hotham, Falls Creek & Buffalo) sharing food, wine, laughs and supporting each other, up and down the mountains. We’ve got everything covered from a skills workshop, support vehicle, ride leaders, regional produce, local wines to afternoon teas and aperitif hour – think poolside Proseccos. Group-dinners include a celebratory degustation at one of Bright’s best restaurants, starting with a gin-flight at Reed & Co distillery”, said Michelle Armstrong.
“There’s so much to love about cycling in the High Country, all you need to do is bring the bike and sense of adventure and we will do the rest. Bragging rights guaranteed!” added Clare Holdsworth.
